Our aim is the creation of a safe and friendly environment where men can rediscover old fashioned mateship, learn or teach new skills and either work together at their own pace, socialize or just enjoy a cuppa.
We believe that working with wood and, with the support of members providing comradeship, fellowship, a shoulder to shoulder chat and a few laughs can improve the mental health and well-being of our members.
Our annual membership fee is AUD 110 (One hundred and Ten Dollars) payable in July of each year. The Annual Membership fee decreases monthly on a pro rata scale during a Membership year which runs from the 1st of July to the 30th of June. At present the Shed is open between the hours of 0900 - 1200, Monday to Friday. Membership is open to men of all ages. Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life, but the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands, and would like to do something meaningful with their time and for the community.
Members work together to make objects free-of-cost for other not-for-profit groups, as well as paid commissions for local businesses, sporting groups, schools and councils; the funds are used to subsidise the Shed’s operating expenses.

In the near future
our plan is to construct a new and larger shed, one better able to meet the changing needs of our community. Not only will it be large enough to better accommodate our tools and machinery, but will provide recreational areas for men with differing needs. Importantly, it will allow us to undertake new activities.
Some of the activities that we plan to initiate include:
a wood-turning class
metal working
a computer workshop
a ‘ladies Shed’ on designated days
a reading group
a paint club
a gardening group
We hope to expand into areas such as cooking, artwork, or music.
Rotary Club of Willetton Inc.
We gratefully acknowledge the kind and ongoing support provided by Matt Keogh MP and Sue Ellery MLC and all our supporters who have assisted with funds and commissions and for whom we have undertaken projects.
Our Shed is currently in recess whilst we fundraise and develop our new Shed.
